Dr. Jens C. Bargmann was born in Lubeck, Germany and became a United States citizen in 2007. He graduated from the German Air Force Academy (1990); University of the German Armed Forces Hamburg (1994, Master of Education); and the Catholic University of Eichstätt, Germany (2003, Ph.D. in Philosophy). He served in a cooperative capacity at the U.S. Naval Academy. Dr. Bargman holds a Master of Divnity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA. He is a Knight of Honor of the Order of Saint John. Dr. Bargmann pastors a church in Maryland.

Dr. Robert Edmondson was elected Chairman, Saint Ambrose Board of Governors in December 2008. Dr. Edmondson was promoted to Brigadier General, United States Army in 1997 and eventually received promotion as Lieutenant General. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from Norwich University and Bloomfield College, a Master of Divinity degree and Master of Sacred Theology, Drew University and a Doctor of Ministry from Louisville Theological Seminary. Dr. Irl A. Gladfelter was appointed Saint Ambrose Dean of Academic Affairs in December 2008. Retired from the United States Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Gladfelter spent his working life in the service of our country. While doing so, he became widely regarded as one of the country’s foremost experts in forensic dentistry. His academic and military credentials could fill volumes. Dr. Chaplen Luyimba Kweri was appointed Dean of International Academic Affairs in December 2008. Along with being ALCC Archbishop of St. Benedict of Africa, Dr. Kweri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Master of Divinity, Master of Sacred Theology, and Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) degrees. The Most Rev. T. Mason Lumpkin has served as hospital chaplain for St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri and clinical director for a resident drug and alcohol treatment center. He was Care Director at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty Missouri where he worked with support groups and “Celebrate Recovery,” a Christian 12-Step program. Prior to entering ministry, Rev. Lumpkin worked in the public school system providing drug prevention education to fifth through twelfth graders. He holds many awards for his service including the Silver Star for Bravery conferred by the American Police Hall of Fame. Rev. Lumpkin has earned a BA in religious studies, dual master’s degrees in theology and counseling and is a doctoral candidate in Christian Counseling. He is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Psychologist, Registered Addiction Specialist, and an EMDR level 2 therapist. Rev. Lumpkin has experience working with emotional and personality disorders, PTSD, and sexual addictions. He is author of the "Christian Recovery Survival Guide," the centerpiece for Saint Ambrose’s addiction recovery program which is under development, and is an ordained priest in the Russian Orthodox Church.

The M. Rev. Anthony J.M. Burns brings the experience of a cloistered monk and an Eastern Orthodox perspective to Saint Ambrose. As he writes: "My vocation springs first and foremost from living in my baptismal call...it was also formed by years of working with the homeless, poor and disabled." Archbishop Burns entered the Franciscan Order in 1990 and six years later founded the Franciscan Brothers of Saint Michael. A holder of a Master’s of Theology in Religious Studies from Almeda University, and two honorary doctorates, he is Archbishop for the Evangelical Marionite Church, The Order of Saint Ninian, The Franciscan Brothers of St. Michael, and Archbishop Metropolitan (Patriarch), Eparchy of Mary Queen of Angels. Archbishop Burns has been appointed Associate Professor for Orthodox studies and is considered an expert on both Eastern and Western liturgies.
Dr. Richard Stoecker, known also to New York City radio listeners as Zach Martin, is Dean of Students and Director of Public Relations and Associate Professor of Theology at Saint Ambrose College. With a long history in radio, Dr. Stoecker is currently Creative Service Director at CBS affiliate WFAN in New York City. Full curriculum vitae found under Administration.

Dr. Tan Binh P. Nguyen left his native Vietnam as a teenage refugee after the Vietnam War. Even though he could not speak English, Dr. Nguyen managed to secure passage to the United States after a lengthy stay in a Cambodian refugee camp. Life in a new country is never easy, but not knowing the language is an additional handicap. Nevertheless, Dr. Nguyen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, A Master of Arts and a Doctorate (abd) in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas, and a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry. In addition, he is an ordained priest, holds a Diploma in Sacred Theology from Wittenberg Luthern Seminary and a Masters in Sacred Theology from Saint Ambrose School of Theology. Dr. Nguyen pastors an independent Vietnamese Catholic congregation (Our Lady of Vang) in the Atlanta area. Dr. Nguyen currently provides dental services to under served and economically challenged people in the State of Georgia.

Dr. Bernard Lopez was born in Malaysia and has devoted his life to the service of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Ordained a Catholic priest in 1971, Dr. Lopez served in Singapore with the Brothers of Saint Francis Xavier and earned a Diploma (PhD equivalent) from the 350 year old College General in Malaysia. After lengthy study in Rome, where he earned Diplomas (PhD equivalent) in Philosophy, Fundamental Theology, and Dogmatic Theology, he spent "the most rewarding year of my life" ministering in the slums of India. From Spain to England, where he earned a diploma in communications and mass media, Dr. Lopez made the journey to the United States. While teaching a Long Island University and Fordham University, Dr. Lopez completed a Masters degree at Long Island University and a PhD (abd) in Political Science at New York University. Dr. Lopez states his vocation simply: "I am a Priest of Jesus Christ."
