In the United States, emphasis placed upon accreditation is much greater than in other countries. Students desiring programs qualifying for professional licensure or transfer to main stream U.S. universities should be aware of this fact. It is the responsibility of the individual student to establish whether or not a foreign degree will be an acceptable alternative to a traditionally-accredited U.S. program.
